This class covers types and causes of allergies, what happens during an allergic reaction and how to handle allergic incidents. Identification of when ICCPP’s are needed and what is required by DHS will be reviewed. We will also discuss the difference between a food allergy and food intolerance, and prevention tips from the NIAID clinical guidelines.
Additionally, we will review medication and Epi pen administration.
