Health Consultants For Child Care

Enhancing Health, Safety & Learning for Minnesota Child Care Providers since 1993

Licensing Readiness for Child Care Providers

When you are starting a new facility, you are required to have a Health Consultant on-board before the licensor will consider your application.

You can feel confident in our 3-step system, as you enter your application process.

Step 1 –  a policy sign off.  We will review your current health and safety policies and provide guidance or recommendations where needed.

Step 2 – pre-licensing visits for new programs.  We will conduct a health and safety walk through prior to licensing coming out to license your facility.  This is a DHS requirement!

Step 3 – onsite visits

  • If you have infants in your facility, we will conduct Monthly Nurse Visits. Topics include first and safety review, diapering, sanitization/disinfection, food safety and much more!
  • For settings with older kids, we offer quarterly or annual visit options. These are a comprehensive reviews of all health and safety topics pertaining to toddlers/preschoolers/school-agers. In addition to the health and safety review, we will review and update our policies for you (if you are using HCCC policies) as needed to maintain compliance with Rule 3 licensing requirements.

We also have products and manuals available to assist you and your program with policies, logs, forms, first aid kits and required trainings
