About Us

Health Consultants For Child Care, Inc. an independent child care consulting business which provides comprehensive child care consultation by public health nurses, was founded in 1989. Our expertise in pediatric health care, child development, child care licensing requirements, and available health resources promotes the enhancement of a child’s development, the growth of program staff, the support of the parents and the quality of the programs we serve.

Barbara H. StollBarbara H. Stoll is owner/manager of Health Consultants For Child Care, Inc. Barbara is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota and has more than 30 years of pediatric nursing experience. Barbara is Certified Content Expert Trainer for the Minnesota Center for Professional Development, a member of the Minnesota Child Care Health Consultants, member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), Association for Early Learning Leaders (formerly National Association of Child Care Professionals (NACCP), and past board member of the Hopkins Early Learning Center in Hopkins, Minnesota.

Barbara is author and editor of A to Z Heath & Safety in the Child Care Setting (C) 2000, 2005. She is also author and editor of Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) / Sudden Infant Death (SIDS) / Abusive Head Trauma (AHT) Reducing the Risk, A Self-Learning Packet for Child Care Providers 2001-2013 which meets the Minnesota Board of Nursing continuing education requirements and the Minnesota Rule 3 SUID/SBS/AHT mandatory training requirements.
